

Report on Blood Donation Camp Organized by NSS and IQAC in Collaboration with ICICI Foundation



On account of Hiroshima datThe National Service Scheme (NSS) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of our college, in collaboration with the ICICI Foundation, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on [insert date]. The event, aimed at promoting the noble cause of blood donation, was held in the college premises and commenced at 10:00 AM, with Student PunithaJyothi efficiently mastering the ceremony.



The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including Rev. Dr.Lourdu Prasad Joseph, the Rector and Manager; Dr. Ravi J. D. Saldanha, the Principal of our college; and the Chief Guests from the ICICI Foundation, Mr.Mahadevswamy N and Ms.Satyasree M, the Project Managers.
The program began with a soulful invocation by the college choir, which set a serene and divine atmosphere. Following this, Mr. Joel J, the NSS Programme Officer, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, guests, faculty members, and students present.

Rev. Dr.Lourdu Prasad Joseph then delivered the Presidential Address, where he emphasized the importance of social service and encouraged students to take the first step by donating blood. His motivational speech highlighted the life-saving impact of blood donation and inspired the attendees to contribute selflessly to this cause.
Mr.Mahadevswamy N from the ICICI Foundation provided a briefing about the foundation’s initiatives and their commitment to social welfare. He highlighted the significant role of such collaborations in addressing critical needs and making a positive impact on society.

Ms.Satyasree M, also from the ICICI Foundation, delivered an insightful talk on the benefits of donating blood. She elaborated on how a single donation can save multiple lives and the health benefits for the donors themselves. Her detailed explanation enlightened the audience and encouraged them to participate actively.
Following the speeches, the blood donation process commenced. Leading by example, Mr. Joel J., the NSS Programme Officer, was the first to donate blood, followed by other staff members and students. The enthusiasm and commitment of the participants were palpable, with more than 80 students stepping forward to donate blood.
The event was meticulously organized, ensuring a smooth and efficient donation process. Medical professionals from K R hospital were present to oversee the donations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all donors.

The Blood Donation Camp was a resounding success, achieving its goal of raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging students to participate in this life-saving activity. The collaboration with the ICICI Foundation added significant value to the event, and their support was instrumental in its success.
