Cultural events inaugurated at St. Philomena’s College
Mysuru, July14: An inauguration ceremony to mark the commencement of the cultural events that will occur during the academic year 2017-2018 was held at St. Philomena’s College, here on Friday, July 14.
Dr. Ruth Shantha kumari, Principal and Rev. Fr. Barnard Prakash Barnis, Rector, St. Philomena’s College inaugurated the cultural events by releasing balloons in the air.
As part of the inauguration, a flash mob conducted by Mr. Nagesh Maliyappa, Faculty, and Dept. of MSW was carried out followed by a musical performance by a band led by Rev. Fr. Sanjay Kumar, Head of the Cultural committee, St. Philomena’s college.
The inauguration saw the presence of all teaching and non-teaching staff. In addition, a large number of students had gathered to cheer for the performers.
