Organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in association with Department of Forensic Science and Criminology
The PRCI Young Communicators Club, Mysore Chapter in association with Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Department of Forensic Science and Criminology organized a invited talk on “Youth and Cyber Security” on 28th November 2022 at St. Philomena’s College, auditorium, Bannimantap, Mysore.
The program kick started with Prof. Sapna MS, Chairman, PRCI Young Communicators Club Mysore chapter addressing the gathering. The guest speaker Mr. P Siddharaju, Assistant Sub Inspector, Lashkar police station, Mysore took over the session and spoke about the Cyber crime, involvement of police department and government authorities in cyber crime. He also briefed about the role of youths and the importance of their active involvement

After the session there was an interactive session between the guest speaker and students by expressing their ideas and thoughts based on the topic. A couple of students who faced and are victims of this cyber crime spoke about the problems which they went through. The session then ended by felicitating the guest speaker for his presence and gave the College memento as token of appreciation for the Chairperson PRCI YCC Mysore chapter.
