Report on Intramural Cricket Competition
Held On 2nd, 3rd & 4th May 2023.
The department of physical education, St Philomena’s College, Mysore organized an intramural cricket competition for the men’s category on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th May 2023. The competition had a total of 20 teams participating, with each team comprising of 11 players. The main objective of the competition was to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among the students. The competition was highly competitive, and the teams displayed excellent skills, enthusiasm, and energy throughout the competition.
The competition was organized by the Physical Director Ms. Peria Nayagamal S, and the teachers in charge were Mr. Anand C, Mr. Mathew C, and Mr. Jeevith. The organizers were responsible for scheduling matches, managing the teams, ensuring that the rules and regulations of the competition were followed, and providing a safe and fair environment for the players.
The 20 teams that participated in the competition were all from the men’s category, and they came from various departments. The teams were well-prepared and displayed great sportsmanship throughout the competition. The matches were highly competitive, and the players showcased their cricketing skills, teamwork, and determination.
After three days of intense cricket, B.COM 3RD YEAR emerged as the winner of the competition, with BA 1ST YEAR finishing as the runner-up. The final match was a thrilling and closely contested game, with both teams displaying excellent skills and teamwork. However, B.COM 3RD YEAR held on to their lead and emerged as the deserving winners of the competition.
The competition was a resounding success, and it provided a platform for the students to showcase their cricketing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The organizers did an excellent job of ensuring that the competition ran smoothly, and they provided a safe and fair environment for the players. The competition was a great opportunity for the students to learn important values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
In conclusion, the intramural cricket competition conducted by the department of physical education was a highly successful event. The competition had 20 teams participating, all from the men’s category. The physical director Ms. Peria Nayagammal.S and the teachers In-charge, Mr. Anand C, Mr. Mathew C, and Mr. Jeevith, did an excellent job organizing the competition. The competition was highly competitive, and after three days of intense cricket, B.COM 3RD YEAR emerged as the winner, while BA 1ST YEAR finished as the runner-up. The competition was a great opportunity for the students to display their skills, and it helped promote sportsmanship and teamwork among the participants.
