EXTENTION ACTIVITY: Volunteering at Medical Camp
As a part of the extension activity Two students with one teacher from the Department of Biochemistry took part as the volunteers for a Health camp organized by the DSS Nirmal Spandana Society in collaboration with St joseph’s Hospital Mysore
Introduction: The purpose of this report is to document the extension activity carried out by two dedicated students, Omkar K and Chaithanya N Urs, who actively participated in a volunteering opportunity at a medical camp. The medical camp, which included the presence of a general physician and a dentist, aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the community, focusing on checking vital signs such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, heart rate, and dental examinations.
Objective: The primary objective of the volunteering activity was to contribute to the well-being of the community by assisting medical professionals, including a general physician and a dentist, in conducting health check-ups, collecting relevant data, and providing medical slips for record-keeping.

Roles and Responsibilities:Omkar K and Chaithanya N Urs actively engaged in the following tasks:
- Vital Sign Checks: Assisted the general physician in measuring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and heart rate.
- Dental Examinations: Collaborated with the dentist to conduct dental check-ups and provide necessary information for follow-up appointments.
- Data Collection: Took personal details of individuals, ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping.
- Medical Slip Documentation: Proficiently filled out medical slips with the collected information for future reference.
