REPORT ON THE “ONE-DAY WORKSHOP ON DEVELOPING FULL STACK WEB APPLICATIONS WITH C# AND ASP.NET”

The One day workshop on Developing full Stack web Application With C# and Asp.net. Workshop was held on 30th November 2024 from 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM, organized by the M.Sc Computer Science Department of St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysore. The workshop, conducted by Mr. Manikanta and Ms.Keerthana, founder of Code Red Solutions, aimed to enhance the programming skills of the students.

Objective

The session was designed to provide hands-on coding experience, encourage peer learning, and equip students with valuable techniques for their future academic projects.

Introduction

This workshop was organized in response to the growing interest among students in programming and the need for additional resources to support their learning. With rapid advancements in technology, it was evident that students required more opportunities to practice coding and stay updated with current trends and tools.

The participants were primarily First-year and Second-year students from the M.Sc Computer Science Department. Mr. Manikanta was selected to guide students in building foundational programming and Framework skills early in their academic journey. The session also aimed to foster a broader appreciation for programming.

First Session

The morning session was conducted by Mr. Manikanta, who introduced participants to Framework. This interactive session included live design demonstrations and practical exercises. The students engaged in hands-on Framework activities and interactive challenges, focusing on  HTML , Asp.net . The exercises promoted critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He also shared valuable industry experiences and tips, inspiring students to pursue coding with confidence.

Second Session

The afternoon session was dedicated to an in-depth workshop on HTML ,Asp.net, one of the most widely used Framework in the industry. The session aimed to provide comprehensive knowledge of  .NET FrameWork.

The workshop began with an introduction to HTML ,Bootstrap,Asp.net Framework, emphasizing its significance in software development, mobile applications, and enterprise solutions. He highlighted .NET is A framework and platform independence, making it a popular choice among developers.

Students were guided through core concepts, including:

Asp.net Framework principles

The session also included an interactive,where students had the opportunity to ask questions about Asp.net , best practices, and real-world applications. This segment was particularly engaging for the participants.

Feedback

Feedback collected after the workshop was valuable in assessing the event’s effectiveness and areas for improvement. Students were encouraged to share their thoughts through feedback forms. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with several constructive suggestions for future events.

Conclusion

The one-day coding workshop was a resounding success, achieving its primary objective of enhancing students’ Framework and Design skills. With a well-structured agenda and engaging sessions led by a knowledgeable speaker, students were able to immerse themselves in  Framework , Design and gain valuable insights into Framework concepts.

In summary, the workshop not only served as a platform for improving  Framework skills but also fostered a deeper understanding of Framework logic among aspiring coders. We are excited about the potential for future events and are committed to providing ongoing opportunities for learning and growth in the realm of programming.
