                                      The Hindi Department of     St. Philomena’s College, Bannimantap, Mysore, organized a grand felicitation ceremony, Puraskar-2025, on 28th January 2025, to honor meritorious students who excelled in Hindi. The event celebrated the achievement of 76 students who secured an outstanding 90% or above in the subject. 

The program was held in the College Auditorium, and the students were presented with gold medals and certificates, recognizing their hard work and dedication. The felicitation was graciously sponsored by the Kasturi Sirikannad Vedike. 

Program Highlights

The ceremony followed a well-organized schedule:

1. Small Introduction: The event began with a brief introduction highlighting the purpose and significance of the felicitation. 

2. Diya Ceremony: The dignitaries and guests inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. 

3.Welcome Speech: A warm welcome was extended to the attendees, dignitaries, and students by a representative of the Hindi Department. 

4.Guest Introduction: The honorable Chief Guest, Fr. Jose Kullemkunnel, was introduced, emphasizing his remarkable contributions and accomplishments. 

5. Speech by Chief Guest and Rector: The Chief Guest and the Rector delivered inspiring speeches, motivating the students to continue their academic excellence and nurture a passion for Hindi. 

6. Medal Distribution and Felicitation: The highlight of the event was the medal and certificate distribution. Each student was called upon to receive their honors amidst applause from the audience. 

7. Vote of thanks: The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. 

The ceremony reflected the commitment of St. Philomena’s College to fostering academic excellence and celebrating the achievements of its students.
