Carol Singing Championship 2018

As the quote depicts “its  beginning to look a lot like Christmas; soon the bells will start and the thing that will make them ring, Is the carol that you sing right within your heart.

 This clearly describes about the baby Jesus who is born as the savior and who would redeem the world.

We the choir members are indebted to Rev Fr Bernad Prakash Barnis and Dr Ruth Shantha Kumari who always place opportunities before us to explore our talents. However Fr Rony Ravi Kumar would make things unraveling, he was supportive and sportive person. Inspite of his hectic  schedule, he has put lot of efforts during  practice time. He always wished us to reach peak of success.

In choir we are totally 45 members including few musicians, who have always been substance for making our singing melodious.”Without music, life would be a mistake”.  –Fredrich Nietzsche

The day was given by the almighty to shine out. Catholic association of Mysore had conducted carol completion on 2/12/2018 at St Philomena’s high school, Mysore. There were many categories like school, colleges religious and parishes.

Representing  St Philomena’s degree college Mysore. We participated  in the competition, in categories namely Kannada, English and Tamil in all the three categories we secured first place. Eventually we won the championship[Rolling trophy] . Our college has carved a unique name for itself as of quality ethics and responsibility.

It was the overwhelming and delightful moments for the college staff members and for all those who awaited for this moment of happiness. We received the wishes from Bishop, priests , teachers and students
