BEYOND BORDERS: PREPARING FOR GLOBAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AFTER GRADUATION

A Career Guidance Session titled “Beyond Borders: Preparing for Global Career Opportunities after Graduation” was successfully conducted on May 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the MCA Conference Hall, PG Block. The session was organized by the MCA Department of St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysore, and was led by Dr. Abdulbasit A Darem, Associate Professor of Cybersecurity & AI at Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia.

 

Objective

The primary goal of the session was to enlighten students about the pathways to building successful global careers after graduation. It focused on necessary skills, global employment trends, and strategies for standing out in international job markets.

Introduction

In an era of global opportunities and digital connectivity, it is crucial for students to understand how to position themselves competitively on an international level. The talk provided an overview of emerging global career opportunities, qualifications required, and the mindset needed to succeed abroad. The participants included first- and second-year MCA students.
