
E shram card Awareness programme to the Out Reach Workers of Ananda Jyothi Network

The department of Sociology organized an E Shrama card awareness programme to the outreach workers of the Ananda Jyothi Network on ———–at 12.00 pm. Ananda Jyothi Network , an organization of HIV positive people working for the welfare of its community members. Dr Sowmya P and Mrs. RashmiVincia along with few students visited the center and interacted with the outreach workers. Firstly the team was heartily welcomed by the Anandajyothi counselor—–

Dr Sowmya P addressed the members and explained about E-Shram card.This is an innovative programme launched by the central government under Ministry of Labour and Employment. E-Shram cards for the poor of the country come as a big scheme to provide assistance to the labor class. Unorganized sector workers can get the financial help in any corner of the country by registering for E- shram card. She gave the details that people who working in unorganized sectors in the age group of 18- 60 are eligible for the scheme. She expressed that there is wider chances to include many other new policies, create more jobs in future and launch new schemes for the under this programme. The speaker stressed on the need and importance of registering under this programme. She explained the details of nearly 154 different works like mason, street vendors, petty business, tailors and son on been recognized to register to E- Shram and also throwed light on the criteria’s to enroll. Later the queries of the outreach workers were clarified and all their doubts were cleared by the faculty members. Dr Sowmya addressed the outreach workers to collect the essential information of those who are working in Unorganized sectors and also endured that once their details is collected and submitted to us the department will take the responsibility to co-ordinate with the concerned authorities and avail them the card. The outreach workers agreed to collect the details of the beneficiaries at the earliest and inform us. The programme concluded with a vote of Thanks by the peer counselor Ms. Mahadevamma of Anada Jyothi Network, she ensured to provide the details of the target group and appreciated for the interest and concern the institution and the department has taken. Over this entire programme was very fruitful and had a positive output and created an opportunity to serve the community.
