
Basava Margha Foundation


The department of Sociology along with first year students and faculties visited Basava Margha Foundation on March 14, 2024 at 10.30 am. The team was heartily welcomed by the counselor Mr Ravi incharge of orienting the institution.
Basava Marga was founded in 2017. Since that time, it has grown into one of the largest rehab facilities nationwide, with programs all over the country. Through personal care and supreme medical facilities, the organization has scaled up into a major treatment center. Awareness camps, meetings, workshops, training camps are very popular in many states.

From the past three years, the foundation is offering state-of-the-art evidence-based treatments and holistic healing to create a unique recovery experience for individuals struggling with alcohol, smoking, drugs, and other addictions. In-house specialists provide empathetic treatment to patients due to which patients recover in a faster manner.
Basava Maarga foundation’s vision has always been to become an all-round service oriented organization in terms of de-addiction, child welfare, public charity, environment protection and other social works. In addition, they work with downtrodden people to promote equal rights and opportunities so that they can prosper in their lives.
The counselor briefed about the regular activities of the foundation and various strategies involved in tackling the issues’. He explained that this foundation offers inpatient programs for individuals struggling with alcohol addiction, drug addiction, gambling and other sorts of addictions. The center is staffed by a team of qualified professionals, including doctors, counselors, and support staff.
Later on the students were taken to visit the different section of the rehabilitation. We observed that the center is well-equipped with comfortable living quarters, dining facilities, and recreational areas. There are also medical facilities on-site to address any health issues that may arise during treatment.

The center uses a holistic approach in treating alcohol addiction, which includes detoxification, individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse prevention strategies. They also offer alternative therapies such as art therapy and yoga to complement traditional treatment methods. During the visit it was observed that a diverse group of patients, including individuals of different ages, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds. The center currently has 130 patients undergoing treatment. During our visit an interaction session was arranged and the founder of Basava Margha Foundation addressed our students on the issues of addiction and motivated the students to choose the right path and succeed in life. He also narrated some successful stories and created a positive attitude among our students. During our interaction some of the inmates explained their real stories that how alcohol addiction ruined their life and how they are trying to come out it to normalize their life. Over all It was a very interactive session and the students were able to understand the problems of addiction. Overall we were impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the staff at Basava Margha Foundation. They demonstrated a genuine concern for the well-being of the patients and were committed to providing them with the best possible care. In Conclusion the visit to the Rehabilitation centre was informative and inspiring. The center’s commitment to helping individuals overcome alcohol addiction is commendable, and I have no doubt that they will continue to make a positive impact in the lives of their patients.
