FELICITATION PROGRAM
“Those who leave everything in God’s hand will eventually see God’s hand in everything.”
This was the shared sentiments of the outgoing Principal Dr. Ruth Shanth Kumari and Dr. Alphonsus D’Souza the newly nominated Principal, St. Philomena’s Degree College. 
A short Transition Ceremony was held on 30th April 2021 in the presence of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysore, Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar MDES Secretary, Rev. Dr. Bernard Prakash Barnis, Rector St. Philomena’s Educational Institutions, Rev. Fr. Maria Xavier Vice-Rector, Dr. Ruth Shanth Kumari, the outgoing Principal, Dr. Alphonsus D’Souza, the Newly Nominated Principal, Mr. Vidhyadhar Sanjay Nair, Vice-Principal, Mr. Orthbert Pinto, PG Director, Mr. Prakash Cutinha, the IQAC Coordinator, hostel warden Br. Dolphy and the office staff members.
“The power to take charge was in my hands; all I had to do was believe it.” With these sentiments Dr. Ruth Shanth Kumari Served the Institution for the past four and half years as a Principal with dedication, zeal and enthused vigour. She was the first lady principal and the 10th Principal in chronology. With her total commitment to the given office, handling the entire crisis situation to her best of ability and keeping everyone under one umbrella gave her best to the Institution till date in her tenure as a Principal.
We the Management, Staff and Students gratefully acknowledge her services as a teacher and as a Principal at St. Philomena’s Degree College and wish her all the Best in the forth coming days and years ahead. May the hand of the Almighty God protect and lead her and may she be enthused with peace, joy and good health.
At the same time it was a joyful event to welcome the Newly Nominated Principal in the person of Dr. Alphonsus D’Souza, who is serving this Institution in the past years as the Controller of Examination, and Dean of Studies and also been awarded with a Rotary Award. He is the 11th Principal of St. Philomena’s Degree College. A man with spiritual caliber, efficient administrator, readiness and dedication are some his hallmarks.
The Management, Staff and Students congratulate and wish good luck to Dr, Alphonsus D’Souza in his tenure as a Principal.
His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. K. A William, the President of the Diocesan Educational Institutions appreciated the outgoing Principal Dr. Ruth Shanth Kumari for her best service that she rendered and enlightened and inspired Dr. Alphonsus D’Souza, the newly nominated Principal to have the coordination with team work as that is the asset of the Institutions’ Success.
The special characteristic features of Co-ordination, belongingness and sharing of responsibilities in the best way by St. Philomena’s Staff was well appreciated by his Lordship and he wished that the same would be continued hither to.
Finally, His Lordship prayed for the staff and students of the Institution and for the healing of the pandemic from the face of the earth.
