Hindi Club Inauguration and Special Lecture Programme

The Department of Hindi, JSS College for Women (Autonomous), Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, organized the inauguration of the Hindi Club, “Hindi Dhaara”, along with a special lecture programme on 13th August 2025 at 11:00 AM in the AV Room.

The programme was presided over by Dr.Rechamma, Principal, JSS College for Women.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr.Poornima A P, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Hindi, St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru. She was warmly welcomed by the organizers and delivered the inaugural address. In her inspiring lecture, Dr.Poornima emphasized the importance of Hindi in national integration, cultural exchange, and academic enrichment. She highlighted the relevance of such platforms in nurturing language skills and motivating students to develop a deeper appreciation for Hindi literature.

The programme marked the official commencement of the Hindi Club, which aims to encourage students’ creative expression, conduct literary activities, and organize interactive sessions in Hindi. The lecture session was followed by student interactions and cultural presentations.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation.

Overall, the programme was a grand success, inspiring students to actively engage in promoting Hindi language and literature through the activities of the Hindi Club “Hindi Dhaara”
