INDUSTRIAL VISIT

An industrial trip was organized on the 8 th April 2025 for the internship students who had optedFor Bakery and Confectionery  program.The first industry was Sovereign Food specialties located at # 64B6, Near varsha cable, hootgalliiIndustrialarea, Mysuru, Karnataka 570018. The women entrepreneur PoornimaDabekar who is alsothe founder of Sovereign Food specialties discussed her journey as an entrepreneur. She is anEngineer from National Institute of Engineer Mysuru who after graduating from IndustrialProduction started her journey of being an Entrepreneur when she first established severalbakeries. But later shifted her business on production of Bakery and Confectionery due tovarious reasons.She has larger number of women employees in her factory.Sovereign Food specialties is into producing bakery and confectionary products. The studentsacquired the knowledge of the entire production and packaging process, as well as the logistics support. They alsolerned about the use of latest technology and the compan’sfocous on the B2B market segment. Sovereign Food specialties used the latest technology available in the industry. PoornimaDabekar interacted with the students shared her entrepreneurial  journey  and answering their questions.  Students also had the opportunity to tasting the company’s delicious bakery items.

Second visit was to Aroma Bakery and sweets,  located at #291/E, Near S.P.I., Hebbal Industrial

Are ,Mysuru, 570016, a sister concern of Loyal World. The students observed the Automated set up  with trained staff , manufacturing and packaging of bakery items, and the maintenance of temperature and hygienic environment. Aroma bakery and sweets exclusively caterstoM/S Loyal World Supermarket, Mysore. The Industrial Visit to the Aroma Bakery & Sovereign Foods was an a enriching experience for the students.Students also had the opportunity of tasting Arom a’s very delicious Carrot Cakes.A total of 24 students were accompanied by Asst. Prof Juhie Singh Department of Commerce andcoordinator of in-house internship program and Mr Ranjith. C.V, Bakery Instructor,  Department Of BBA-TH, and provided valuable insights into the workings of small and medium-scale organizations.
