Industrial Visit to Payana- “Cart to Car”, Mysore
On the 24th of September 2024, students from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, St. Philomena’s College, embarked on an industrial visit to Payana- An exclusive museum for automobiles in Mysore. The group arrived at the museum at 2.00 p.m.
During the visit, students explored the impressive collection of over 30 vintage automobiles, including models from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum’s curator provided valuable insights into the history and significance of each vehicle, offering a fascinating glimpse into Mysore’s rich automotive heritage.
The visit achieved its learning objectives, with students gaining practical knowledge on Heritage tourism and preservation, Mysore’s cultural significance,
tourism attractions and experiences.
Students highlighted the engaging and informative experience gained at Payana.
