Mr.Bharatha.K, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, addressed the gathering and introduced the speaker. After which the section was handed over to the speaker.
The speaker started the section by introducing few Linear Algebraic ter- minologies and its properties. He also gave some insights about applications of Linear Algebra in Engineering sciences. In particular the speaker discussed about the invariant subspace methods to solve the differential equations which arises by modelling real world problems. Various results and properties of these invariant subspace methods are discussed.
Further he described an intuitive way of understanding and deriving Rank Nul- lity Theorem and showcased its beauty among the students. Moving on the speaker quoted about the Nobel Laureate, John F. Nash who had done significance work on solving simultaneous linear equations.
The speaker concluded the section and surprised the students by 3D mod- elling a differential equation and solving the same using the invariant subspace method.
