“KAVI SAMMELAN”

E- KAVI SAMMELAN on Account of Vishwa Hindi Diwas
On January 11, 2021, the Philo Hindi Club, Department of Hindi, St Philomena’s College organized E- KAVI SAMMELAN, where many famous poets participated. Rev. Dr Bernard Prakash Barnis, the Rector, Rev. Fr Maria Xavier Sunil, the Vice-Rector, Campus Administrator Rev Fr John Paul, Principal Dr.Ruth Shantha Kumari and Vice Principal Vidhyadhar Sanjay Nair wished well for Vishwa Hindi Diwas to all the poets, teachers and students present in the programme. The programme was organized to develop the interest of students in Hindi poetry.
The Famous poet Sri Narendra Singh Nihaar, founder of Hindi ki Gunj, New Delhi started with his words “ भारतवासी जागो जागो, हिंदी का सम्मान करो । हिंदी पढ़ लो, हिंदी लिख लो, हिंदी का उद्धार करो ।“ Nirmala Joshi ji, retired teacher and famous poet form Haldwani told about grace of Hindi with words “ हिंदी न होती भोर मेरी, हिंदी न होती दो पहरी। हिंदी में होती सांझ मेरी, सूरज भी हिंदी में ढलता है”। The famous poet Sri Nand Saraswath Ji, from Bangalore, who is famous for his outstanding performance not only in Inida but also abroad, conveyed his message with a very beautiful song–“ वतन का ज्ञान है हिंदी,वतन की शान है हिंदी । लगे तुलसी, लगे मेरा, लगे रसखान है हिंदी । लगे मानस, लगे गीता, लगे कुरान है हिंदी । कहीं मंदिर, कहीं पूजा, कहीं भजनों में गाती है”। Sri Sunahari Lal Turanth, retired teacher and poet form Uttar Pradesh glorified Hindi with these words, “भारत की पहचान, हिंदी भारत का अभिमान, आओ हम सब दे हिंदी को मां जैसा सम्मान”। Another poet and Social worker, Smt Latha Novval, from Belagavi described the beauty of Hindi in this manner, “ हिंदी बोलने पर चमक आ जाती है, जैसे झिलमिलता तारा आंगन को चमका जाता है । कहो गर्व से हिंदी हैं हम, हिंदी भाषा हमारी देश भर में देश का सम्मान है”। Dr Poornima Umesh , Head of the Department, sang prayer song. Welcome speech and the vote of thanks were proposed by the students of Hindi department.
