Menstural Hygene workshop at slum area
Department of Hindi, St.Philomena’s college (A), Mysore in collaboration with Pinkishe Foundation, Delhi organized a Menstural Hygene workshop at slum area, RMC and Gandhi nagar, Mysore District, karnataka on 27th December 2022 (6:00-7:00 pm)
Facilitator- Dr.Poornima Umesh, Assistant Professor, St.Philomena’s College ( Autonomous), Mysore and Leader, Mysore branch of Pinkishe Foundation organized it along with 2nd year Degree students
The interaction started with the demo about menstruation and knowledge about its facts and myths. How and why does it happens and scientifical reason about the change in girls.
Moreover women too had many questions like gynalogical problems. Healthy and proper hygiene of themselves can make their life more healthier.
With the support of the kit provided by pinkishe group we the team can explain in detail about what are the methods to be followed during menstruation. And the most important thing is about its disposal.
After the demo we had interactive session.
During the interaction session question like white discharge, period delaying, and about good and bad touch were asked and it’s rectified.
17 beneficiaries attended the workshop.
