REPORT ON -“GUEST LECTURE ON OPPORTUNITIES IN TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY – FLIGHT TO SUCCESS.”

The program was kick started by Welcoming and Addressing the Dignitaries followed by the Welcome Speech given by  Prof. Paul Iruthayaraj, HOD of Tourism and Hospitality, St.Philomena’s College,Mysore. 

Then proceeding with the Inauguration of the event by the Resource Person Mr.Arjun .M.Business Development Manager, Montreal, Canada. and by the Lecturers from St.Philomena’s PU College, Mysore.The dignitaries gathered for the Release of the Poster –“Opportunities in Tourism and Hospitality – Flight to Success.”The staff of Dept.of Tourism and Hospitality honoured the Resource Person with a Shawl and Momento.

The Resource Person then took over program and gave a Lecture on Tourism aspects, Highlighting the Future, Scope, Wide range of Opportunities and ideas on Sustainable Tourism. He spoke about the change the current generation needs to bring in the Tourism Industry.The session was continued with Questions and Answers, Students from St.Philomena’s PU College and the Students from Dept.of Tourism and Hospitality asked the Resource Person questions like “How can we counter the people having stereotypical thinking about the Tourism Industry”?-and the  Resource person gave the students a clarity on the subject.

The Program was concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof.Rini Brown,Dept.Tourism and Hospitality, St.Philomena’s College. to the Resource Person and to the Lecturers, Students for their presence throughout the Event.
