
Report on Hindi Diwas Celebration at LIC, Bannimantap
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Bannimantap branch, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and reverence. On this occasion, Dr. Poornima Umesh, Head of the Department of Hindi, St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysuru, was invited as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Poornima Umesh delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the importance of Hindi language and literature, highlighting its vast expansion as an official language, mother tongue, national language, and a unifying medium of communication in India. Her address inspired the audience to recognize the cultural richness and inclusivity of Hindi in shaping national identity.
As part of the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions organized in connection with Hindi Diwas.
The event was further graced by the presence of the Senior Manager and Sri Krishna Murthy, ATI, who, along with the Chief Guest, motivated the participants and emphasized the role of Hindi in professional and personal spheres.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the gathering with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility towards promoting Hindi language and literature.
