St. Philomena’s College organizes the TEDx event of international fame
St. Philomena’s College organized TEDx SPC, the independently organized TED event in the college auditorium on 29th April 2018. The event was inaugurated by His Highness Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the Maharaja of Mysore. Dr Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Bishop Emeritus presided over the event. Other Guests included Msgr.Rev. Leslie Moras, The Episcopal Vicar of MDES and Dr. T. Ruth Shantha Kumari, the principal of the college.
His Highness Yaduveer Krishnadatta Wadiyar Spoke about how important the event was in maintaining the rich heritage of Mysore city, wherein such meaningful discourses happen regularly. He referred to some instances from history where similar discussions were taking place in the courts of Mysore.
The event successfully took place in the college auditorium with a houseful audience of 100 people. 16 speakers who had expertise in different fields such as climate change, health and lifestyle, art and entertainment and interfaith harmony shared their ideas for sustained social development.

The event concluded with vote of thanks by the organizer and co-organizer thanking the audience and the speakers and saplings were distributed to all the attendees.
