REPORT
INTRODUCTION

The ‘Yoga Stops Traffic’ event, organized by Odanadi Seva Samste, was successfully conducted in front of the historic Mysore Palace. This annual event aims to raise awareness about human trafficking and promote the empowerment of survivors through the practice of yoga. Participants from various walks of life, including yoga enthusiasts, students, activists, and tourists, gathered to support the cause. Notably, St. Philomena’s College NSS Officer Mr. Johnson Arul Raj. L, Asst. Prof Dept of English, NSS members Mr. Ajay Anthony Asst. Prof Dept of Computer Application,Ms. Deepthy Asst. Prof Dept of Social Work,along with NSS volunteers,actively
participated in this noble initiative, contributing to the success of the event.

The Event was held on 29th March 2025, which saw an overwhelming response as hundreds of individuals performed yoga postures in unison to symbolize peace, strength, and solidarity against human trafficking. The event was part of a global initiative that takes place in multiple cities worldwide, emphasizing the role of yoga in bringing about social change.
MASS YOGA DEMONSTRATION
A large group of participants, including survivors of trafficking and supporters, performed yoga postures in front of the iconic Mysore Palace. Our NSS volunteers actively took part in the session, showcasing their commitment to social causes.Several dignitaries, social activists, and yoga trainers addressed the crowd, highlighting the importance of raising awareness and taking collective action against trafficking.The event featured performances and talks aimed at educating the public about the realities of human trafficking and the rehabilitation efforts undertaken by Odanadi Seva Samste.
GLOBAL PARTICIPATION,IMPACT AND SIGNIFICANCE

The event was held simultaneously in various cities across the world, reinforcing the global fight against trafficking through the unifying power of yoga.The event successfully captured public attention and media coverage, amplifying the message of anti-trafficking efforts. By bringing together survivors, supporters, and the community, ‘Yoga Stops Traffic’ not only promoted physical and mental well-being but also encouraged a collective commitment to ending human trafficking. The active involvement of our NSS volunteers added great value to the event, reinforcing the role of youth in social activism. Our NSS Members and Volunteers received a certificate of participation. Odanadi Seva Samste’s initiative continues to inspire many to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of trafficking survivors.
CONCLUSION
‘Yoga Stops Traffic’ remains a powerful movement that combines yoga with social activism. The event in Mysore, with its grandeur and significance, further strengthened the message of hope, resilience, and the fight against human trafficking. Odanadi Seva Samste’s commitment to this cause continues to create a lasting impact, encouraging greater awareness and action from individuals and communities worldwide. Our college NSS volunteers’ participation showcased their dedication to societal well-being, making the event even more meaningful and impactful.
