E-Shram Card Distribution Programme
Report on E-Shram Card Distribution Programme Organized by Youth Red Cross Unit St.Philomena’s College Mysuru

Objectives:
- To create awareness on schemes available for Asha and Anganwadi workers.
- To appreciate the service rendered by the Asha and Anganwadi workers.
- To inculcate an attitude of social service among students.
A team of 8 teachers and 15 students lead by Dr. Prashanth D.A, Programme officer Youth Red Cross Unit, St.Philomena’s College (Autonomous) visited General Hospital located at Srirangapatna on 21 May 2022 to distribute E-Shram card for the Asha and Anganwadi workers . This programme was held in collaboration with General Hospital, Srirangapatna.
The programme included a stage event and was inaugurated by watering the sapling by Dr.Ravi J D Saldanha, Principal St.Philomena’s (Autonomous) College Mysuru, Mr.Krishnappa, Vice President Purasabhe, Srirangapatna, Dr.Nagaraj, Director, Arogya Raksha Samithi, Mrs.Nalini Sathyanarayana, Director , Arogya Raksha Samithi, Srirangapatna General Hospital, Dr.Venkatesh, Taluk Health Officer, Srirangapatna, Dr.Maruthi, Chief Medical Officer , Srirangapatna General Hospital and others.
While addressing the gathering, Dr.Nagaraj acknowledged the selfless work done by the Asha and Anganwadi workers during the pandemic and he also urged them to get the benefit of the govt. Schemes available for them.
Dr.Venkatesh appreciated the College and its Red Cross unit for conducting such useful programme and also encouraged the unit to bring up more such programmes in future.
Dr. Prashanth D A, Programme officer Youth Red Cross unit, explained the various benefits of being an E- Shram card holder. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Srirangapatna Health centre officials for their whole hearted support.
In his presidential speech, Dr.Ravi J D Saldanha, Principal, St.Philomena’s College (Autonomous) Mysuru, insisted all youths to come out of the virtual world of social media and to actively participate in such programmes and become an example for upcoming generation. He also appreciated Dr. Prashanth D A, Programme officer Youth Red Cross unit and his team for their efforts in conducting such a wonderful programme.
Later E-Shram cards together with face masks were distributed to 50 beneficiaries by the dignitaries.
The event was hosted by Dr.Sowmya P, Assistant professor and The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Juhi Singh, Assistant Professor St.Philomena’s College Mysuru.
