To enlighten students on the Career Opportunities in The Indian Air Force

Objective:

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of St. Philomena’s College organized an orientation programme on May 28, 2022. The Programme was titled What Lies within the beating heart of a youth.  It was aimed The main objective of the programme was to enlighten the students on the various career opportunities available in the Indian Air Force for graduates.

The programme began with a prayer service by the College Choir team. Mrs. Farha M, the P.R.O. of the hosted the event and welcomed the gathering.  Ms. Alvira Sultana, Asst. Prof. Department of Criminology & Forensic Science introduced the Chief Guest Wg. Cdr.  Sangita Paulraj. The presidential address was deliverd by the Principal of the college, Dr. Ravi J. D. Saldanha. In his Presidential address advised the students to start channelizing their energy in the right direction and focus on choosing the right career path.

Wing Commander Sangita Paulraj enlightened the students on the life of the armed forces. Motivating the students she briefed the journey of several officers in the Indian Air Force. She presented her adventurous journey through videos. She enlightedned the students on the various career paths available in technical and non-technical fields of the Indian Air Force and the benefits associated with them.

Students interacted with Wing Commander Sangita Paulraj and showed immense amount of curiosity in the careers of the Indian Air Force.
