BAJAJ FINSERV (Certificate distribution program on Banking,Finance and Insurance)
The Department of Commerce hosted the Bajaj Finserv Certificate program on banking, finance, and insurance, along with the ACCA Certificate distribution ceremony. The event was attended by approximately 160 students from BCom and BBA, as well as several distinguished guests, including Mr. Narayan Nambiar CA, the founder of GlobalFTwas present.
The program began with a welcome speech by Ms. Harshitha Bai, a final year B.Com student, followed by a program report by the college course coordinator, Ms. Amreen Kousar. The report provided an overview of the Certificate Program in Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI), which was conducted in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv as a CSR initiative. The program aimed to improve the learners’ skills and abilities, contributing towards building their personality and distinguishing them from others, especially in securing jobs.
The CPBFI program had a strong assessment criterion that included a minimum of 75% attendance and a minimum score of 50% in assessments. In the third batch, 49 students from the Department of Commerce and Business Administration enrolled in the program, and 26 of them successfully qualified for the certificate, 25 students for HRW star performance, and 11 students for the participation certificate.
The program launched virtually as an online session and began with an orientation program led by Rashmi Mansukhani, Project Manager of CSR Projects at Walchand Plus. The program included sessions on managing, banking, finance, and insurance, as well as communication and work skills. Ms. Nikitha Chandra conducted the latter session and assigned group projects while also conducting mock interviews.
On January 3rd, 2024, all participants were given a specific time slot to attend an online mock interview with judges appointed by the Bajaj Finserv team. The feedback included details regarding attendance and examination performance for all students. Overall, the classes held during the 100 hours of teaching and learning were incredibly useful for all students, regardless of their future career plans.
The certificate distribution ceremony began after the program ended. The Rector/Principal and principal distributed the certificates to the qualified students of the Program. Later, the ACCA head and the Commerce department together with the management and Principal honored the ACCA students Mr. Likith Gowda, Mr. N Karthik, and Ms. Afra P A for their outstanding performance in ACCA exams.
