National & International Recognitions

I am honoured to share that I received two prestigious awards for my contributions to Hindi literature and language:

International Hindi Gaurav Samman – 2026: This award was given by Sahitya Arpan, Dubai (UAE) on March 10, 2026. It recognizes my dedication and service to Hindi language and literature globally.

National TGT MahadeviVermaSamman – 2026: This award was presented by ‘The Gram Today PrakashanSamooh’ on March 9, 2026. It was given in celebration of International Women’s Day, recognizing significant literary contributions and leadership in Hindi.

Major Translation Project

In an effort to connect Hindi and Kannada literature, I have successfully completed and secured publication for the following work:

Work: Translation of the poetry collection “Desh Hum JalneNahiDenge” by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ (Former Education Minister of India).

Kannada Title: “DeshavannuSudaluNaavuBiduvudilla” – Publisher: Nishank Publications.

Impact: This translation helps bring nationalistic Hindi poetry to the Kannada-speaking audience, promoting understanding between the two languages.

Note: This will be Dr PoornimaUmesh’s 12^th Book

Research Publication Acceptance

A notable research paper has been accepted for publication in the next issue of Aakhar Hindi Patrika.

Title: “भारतीयज्ञानप्रणाली (IKS): एकऐतिहासिकविवेचना, इसकीविविधशाखाएँऔरभविष्यकीवैश्विकप्रासंगिकता” -“BharathiyaGnanPranali- EkAithihasikvivechana, iskivividhshaakhayeaurbhavishyakivaishvikprasangikatha”

Journal Credentials: e-ISSN: 2583-0597 – Impact Factor: 4.0 – Double-Blind Peer-Reviewed.

Significance: The paper supports NEP 2020 objectives by examining the historical and global importance of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). It adds to the college’s research repository and NAAC documentation.

These achievements highlight the Department of Hindi’s commitment to academic excellence and cultural leadership. They not only improve my research profile but also enhance St. Philomena’s College’s reputation in national and international academic circles.
