REPUBLIC DAY

St. Philomena’s College has its own spirit of celebrating national festivals with charm. This year republic day was one such meaningful day of celebration and remembrance, the republic day celebration was held on 26/1/19 @ 08:30 am in the college auditorium premise. The function began with March past by NCC students with dignitaries marching towards the auditorium. They were accompanied by college staff & students.

The Indian Flag was hoisted by Prof.Rajalakshmi and Prof.Lizzy Cyriac , two eminent  teachers of the college , who will be superannuated this  academic year. It was followed by principal, Dr.Ruth Shantha Kumari’s address to the gathering regarding the importance of the day. Master of the ceremony was Ms.Sofia Jennifer. Our college band performed patriotic songs. The function was informative and a meaningful celebration of remembrance. The function was followed by breakfast..
