ST.PHILO’S SIGNS MOU WITH CIPET – CSTS
A memorandum of understanding(MOU) was formally signed between St.Philomena’s College(Autonomous), Mysuru and Central Institute of Plastic Processing and Engineering TechnologyCIPET) – Centre for Skilling and Technical Support(CSTS), Mysuru for the academic exchanges to enhance their collaborative projects/activities on 26th October 2018. This initiative was taken up under the auspices of chemistry department of the college.
The MOU was also intended to recognize the general basis for a collaborative working relationship between the two institutions in education, training and technical cooperation in chemistry related topics. They have agreed to jointly undertake internship programmes for chemistry students, faculty development programmes for the faculty of chemistry, project works, in-plant training, academic curriculum development and referral of chemistry students to pursue higher education plastic processing and moulding technology.

The MOU was executed during a signing ceremony held at the conference hall of St.Philomena’s College in the presence of teaching staff of the college. The said MOU was signed by R.T.Nagaralli, Director and Head and Suman,the Administrative Officer, both for CIPET-CSTS side whereas for St.Philomena’s College, the signatories were Dr.T.Ruth Shantha Kumari, the Principal of the college and Rev.Dr.Bernard Prakash Barnis, the Rector/Manager of the institution.
During the occasion, Principal, Dr.Ruth Shantha Kumari said that signing of the MOU is a defining moment for both the institutes and such partnership will facilitate the institutes in achieving larger goals of self-reliance. She also called upon the staff of the college to be motivated from this and put efforts to enter into agreements with other reputed institutions.
R.T.Nagaralli, the Director/Head of CIPET-CSTS gave a brief introduction of CIPET-CSTS institute through power point presentation. He urged the staff to motivate the students to take up skilled training in the form of internship, project work etc.
Dr.RaviJ.D.Saldanha, Associate Professor in Chemistry, St.Philomena’s College(Autonomous), Mysuru welcomed. Mr.Ronald Prakash Cutinha, IQAC co-ordinator of the college proposed a vote of thanks.
