Street play awareness programme by Don Bosco Makkalalaya
On 20-06-2024, Don Bosco Makkalalaya in association with Child Help line unit-1098,CWC (Child Welfare Committee, SJPU Special juvenile police unit Mysuru and students from St. Philomena’s college, Mysuru conducted an awareness jatha, street play and dance performance to bring awareness on prohibition of Child labour and begging to the public. The street plays were presented depicting the various incidents on the consequences in front of the Mysore Palace and dance was performed by the MSW students based on the awareness.
The Inspector of women’s police station Ganesh, Member of CWC Dhanajaya, SJPU Prasanna Kumar, DCPU, Child helpline-1098 and around 200 students along with the faculty members of St. Philomena’s college Dr. Noor Mubasheer C A, Shirly Anthony, P Nandna and,K J Robin and research scholar Ashwitha participated in the program. At the end, Jatha was conducted from Palace to Doda gadiyara carrying placards and creating awareness to the public. The programme concluded with great success by educating the public with the child helpline number -1098.
