Over the decades, the institution steadily expanded across disciplines—from Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, to Social Work and more—reaching over 36 academic departments including Tourism & Hospitality by its 75th anniversary.
The newer Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management (BBA‑THM or BBA‑TH) was established as part of the college’s autonomous structure and the UGC‑supported shift to vocational and industry‑oriented programmes. It appears in college documentation as one of the undergraduate courses offered alongside BBA, BCA, BSW, and B.Voc starting around 2016–2018 under the CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) framework. In academic year 2018–19, a fully revised CBCS syllabus for BBA‑THM was introduced, detailing six semesters with a structured credit system—core, elective, skill enhancement, foundation courses totalling 136 credits and 3,600 marks.
Today, the BBA‑TH programme is an integral part of the college’s offerings: a three-year, six‑semester undergraduate course thriving within the autonomous college setup, aligned with industry trends and regional tourism hospitality demands. The Tourism & Hospitality Management department was formally instituted between 2014 and 2018, coinciding with the institution’s autonomous status and broader diversification of vocational offerings.
